Stephen A. Flores, CPA | Managing Principal

As the Managing Partner of Prizer Flores, Stephen actively manages all facets of strategic tax planning, compliance, and accounting. His primary areas of expertise lie in the formulation of specific tax strategies for closely held corporations, partnerships, LLCs, and their owners ranging in size from $1 million to $150 million. His wide-ranging experience in various types of tax matters encompasses numerous industries such as professional services, legal services, healthcare, and restaurants, as well as real estate development and investment. With a background in transactional analysis, Stephen often implements creative ways to minimize tax liabilities associated with complex transactions.

A Claremont McKenna College alum and former outfielder for the CMS baseball team, Stephen currently resides in Newport Beach, CA. When he’s not at the office, you can find him golfing, making a short day trip to Catalina Island, jogging the boardwalk, hiking, or taking a road trip to a Pac-12 stadium to watch the USC Trojans football team battle a conference foe.

Aaron D. Gonzales, CPA | Principal – Director of Accounting Services

Aaron brings over 14 years of experience in accounting and finance to the team. He was hired by Steve for his first job out of college and, over a decade since last working together, returns to join us as our Director of Accounting Services. For nearly 10 years, he was in the public accounting field. He oversaw and managed the audits of numerous clients across a broad range of industries ranging from $1-300 million in annual revenue. He spent the next 4 years in the private sector leading the accounting and reporting for real estate and private equity companies. Aaron’s primary area of expertise lies in the Accounting & Fractional CFO services we offer our clients.

Also, a Claremont McKenna College Alum and former quarterback for the CMS football team, Aaron resides in Denver, CO, with his wife and three children. In his free time, you’ll find him BBQing in his back yard, sampling some fine CO craft beer, hiking/skiing/fishing in the CO mountains, cheering on his children at their sporting events, or watching Notre Dame football (especially when they beat Steve’s Trojans).
